The Group Eirene annually organizes mobility exchange projects between young people from Santa Coloma de Gramenet and, currently, young people from the Balkans. The projects that have been carried out so far consist of a two-way bilateral exchange. In the first one, young people from the Balkans come to the Catalan town, for a week, to share the experience of knowing the culture, traditions, history and ways of life, and to carry out the activities that young Catalans have prepared, The backbone of the culture of peace. In the second phase, young Catalans are those who travel to the country chosen for the exchange.
The evaluation and analysis of previous projects shows that the experience with young people has been very satisfactory. The learning acquired in both cities and their history, as well as on culture of peace, conflict resolution and historical memory, contact with another culture and the need to open to people with a language, beliefs and ways of life Different, they have been very enriching for young people and have helped them develop resources and new expectations for their lives.
